1: The interval of time immediately before a project is due, when it becomes apparent that the schedule has slipped and everyone is going to have to work like dogs to try to complete the project in time. Crunch time usually occurs during the period between the next-to-last scheduled milestone (prior to which everyone was able to delude themselves tht the schedule had NOT slipped) and the final deadline for delivery. During crunch time, workers are in crunch mode. Prevalent in the software industry, but used elsewhere as well.

1: A time devoted to the action of taking A Crunch. Crunch Time can happen at anytime, in anyplace, to anyone. The length of a Crunch Time is affected my many things. Your age, your sex, barometric pressure, the earths pitch relative to the sun's axis, and what you ate last night for dinner all play a part on when Crunch Time will ensue.

  * e.g.,  ... Justin: Nick, you've been in there a while. You okay man? Nick: I knew it was time... Justin: Time for what? Nick: Crunch time... Justin: Seriously Nick, stop coming over to my house after you eat your Dad's home cooking.

1: The act of eat cereal as a means of skipping the normal time it takes to prepare food. Frequent among college kids.

  * e.g.,  ... "Class is in 2 minutes? Time for a Cinnamon Toast Time Crunch!" 

 [ "Time Crunching" ]

1: Time crunching is when you chug a bottle of couch syrup, and see how many times you can masturbate before you pass out!

  * e.g.,  ... Has anybody seen John? Yeah he's passed out, he was Time Crunching. Anna walked in the room and said it was a disgusting mess!

1: The Crunch Time is when there is a long project due and you need to finish it in one hour. The word can also be used as just "the Crunch" or "Crunching" in verb form. Used as a synonym to "Grind" which is for gaming. This word is for work.

  * e.g.,  ... Bob was procrastinating on his social studies homework, which was due in an hour. He had officially entered The Crunch Time so he could finish on time.
